Stretch film
Stretch film for pallet loads

Stretch film, or polyethylene film, is what keeps a pallet load in one piece on the way to its destination. Wrapped tightly around the boxes, it holds them together, protects them from cracking under the movement of transport and stops them rubbing against other goods in the truck or the warehouse.
It clings to itself without glue, so the wrap stays put and comes off cleanly when the pallet is broken down. Clear film also lets whoever receives the load read the labels without cutting anything open.
Where it is used
- Palletising finished goods before dispatch.
- Holding mixed loads together in storage.
- Protecting goods from dust and moisture while they wait.
What to tell us
Whether you wrap by hand or with a machine, the roll width you use, and roughly how many pallets you wrap a week. If the loads are small, see pre-cut stretch film.
